Introduction to Sweet Bonanza by Pragmatic Play
Sweet Bonanza was developed by Pragmatic Play and takes players into a colourful candy world filled with fruits, sweets, lollipops and other sugary symbols. The game uses a 6×5 layout and features the Pay Anywhere mechanic instead of fixed paylines.
The Tumble mechanic gives the title its distinctive rhythm. Once a winning combination is identified, the symbols involved disappear and new ones drop into the empty positions. If another valid combination forms, the process continues within the same spin.

The payout mechanics integrated by Pragmatic Play
Sweet Bonanza uses the Pay Anywhere mechanic, where a combination can qualify for a payout when at least 8 matching symbols appear across the reel area.
Payout levels
The paying symbols do not have to appear along a fixed horizontal or diagonal line. This makes the basic mechanic easier to follow, as players mainly need to check the number of matching symbols after each spin.
| Symbol | 8 symbols | 9 symbols | 10+ symbols |
| Red Candy | 2x | 4x | 10x |
| Blue Candy | 2x | 4x | 10x |
| Purple Candy | 2x | 4x | 10x |
| Yellow Candy | 2x | 4x | 10x |
| Plum | 1x | 2x | 5x |
| Grape | 1x | 2x | 5x |
| Watermelon | 0.5x | 1x | 2x |
| Mango | 0.5x | 1x | 2x |
The Sweet Bonanza payout is calculated based on the total stake for the spin. Players should therefore open the paytable and check the applicable multipliers before starting.
The mechanic also creates opportunities for several symbol groups to qualify during the same spin. Each eligible combination is calculated separately before the Tumble continues.

Tumble creates consecutive winning sequences in Sweet Bonanza
Once a group of symbols creates a winning combination, those symbols disappear from their current positions. The symbols above then drop down to fill the gaps, while new symbols appear in the remaining spaces.
This process can repeat several times when newly dropped symbols create additional winning combinations. As a result, a single initial spin does not necessarily end after the first payout.
Tumble also provides the foundation for the multiplier mechanic in Free Spins. The more winning sequences created during the bonus round, the more significant the accumulated multipliers can become.
Popular features in Sweet Bonanza
Unlike conventional slot games, Pragmatic Play designed this title with several distinctive features. They add more variety to each spin and create a different pace from the standard base game.
Multiplier Orb – Bonus spheres
One of the most recognisable elements of Sweet Bonanza is the Multiplier Orb. These multiplier orbs can appear during Tumble sequences and carry values such as 2x, 5x, 10x, 20x, 50x or 100x.
- During regular spins, multipliers may appear but do not operate in exactly the same way as they do in Free Spins. Their role becomes more important once the bonus round begins.
- If several multipliers appear during the same Free Spins Tumble sequence, their values can be added together before being applied to the relevant total win.
For example, if a sequence produces 10x and 20x multipliers that meet the required conditions, their combined value can reach 30x before being applied. This mechanic gives the Free Spins round the potential for larger payouts than those seen in the base game.
Scatter and Free Spins round
The Lollipop acts as the Scatter symbol in Sweet Bonanza. When the required number of Scatters appears, the game triggers the Free Spins round.
This feature does more than simply provide additional spins. During Free Spins, Multiplier Orbs become more important because collected multiplier values can directly affect winning sequences.
The number of initial Free Spins depends on the number of Scatters appearing during activation. Additional Scatters may also appear during the bonus round and can increase the remaining spins according to the game’s mechanics.
Buying additional spins
Sweet Bonanza may also offer a Bonus Buy option in versions or through providers that support this feature. This tool allows players to pay a fixed amount to access the Free Spins round without waiting for the required Scatters to appear naturally.
However, Bonus Buy increases the amount spent immediately. It does not guarantee a profit, so players should consider their available budget before activating the feature.
How to experience the title at YD88
The game has relatively straightforward rules, so newcomers do not need to spend much time learning the basics. At YD88, you can familiarise yourself with Sweet Bonanza by following these steps:
- Step 1: Open the information panel: Check the paytable, symbol values and Free Spins activation conditions in the game guide. This is useful before selecting a stake.
- Step 2: Choose your stake: Adjust the stake for each spin according to your session budget. Avoid choosing a stake simply because you expect a high multiplier to appear.
- Step 3: Start the spin: Press the spin button to generate the first result. If an eligible combination appears, the system pays the corresponding reward and activates the Tumble process.
- Step 4: Follow the Tumble sequence: Winning symbols disappear while empty positions are filled with new symbols. If another qualifying combination appears, the Tumble continues.
- Step 5: Check the multipliers: Once Free Spins begins, pay attention to Multiplier Orbs appearing alongside winning sequences. They are a key part of the bonus mechanics.
Conclusion
Sweet Bonanza makes its mark with a colourful candy theme and a collection of distinctive features. Its Tumble sequences and multiplier mechanics create a different experience from conventional slots, while the Free Spins round adds another layer to the gameplay.
